This unit replaces one which has given us 5 years of service over 50,000km of touring. We have it installed on the side of our camper inside a weatherproof cover for touring. Gives us great bush showers.
Haven’t had a chance to use it yet. But looks great. Would have preferred black hose leads to suit the box red looks a lil weird but happy regardless. Thanks for smooth transaction.
Added to outdoor shower so we could take showers in the (Az) winter. It has supplied 106F water (it can go higher) for intervals in excess of 12 minutes. Quick and Easy to install. Works well.
Just installed my second one (1 for kitchen & 1 for bath). Super easy to install and works great. I like how much control it offers on temp. There was a snafu with delivery on the part of UPS, and customer service was awesome. Sent out another one right away!
Very happy with this water heater. It is hard to get water hotter than 95f when it is cold outside, as during spring time. During the summer months it has been working great, water temp can easily go over 120f. So need to adjust the settings from time to time. The shower head attachment that comes with it is my only complaint, the connection between the hose and shower head is very flimsy, I will be replacing it. Otherwise this is great and well worth the money.
My brother-in-law installed the unit. It is powered with D batteries. My husband is partially disabled and our shower/tub combo became too challenging for us. Since I have to bathe him, I had a roomy outdoor shower built to solve our problems. This unit has easy-to-use controls with a digital temperature display. We hooked up a water hose and propane tank and we have instant hot water. The handheld sprayer has a wide water spray with excellent pressure. The on/off button is perfectly positioned on the sprayer. This unit exceeded our expectations and we are very pleased with it.
If you understand mechanical things, then you'll get this simple heating device. If you don't, be sure to read and follow all directions carefully. Understand that some of the small plastic pieces are not designed to hold a lot of stress - like the quick-connect fittings. Just hand tighten them until you feel the rubber seals compress then let off. Be careful with the battery cover because that lid could break if you bang it up.The gas fitting is very critical to get right or you will have a fireball.This water heater works great. If you don't grasp the concept, then read my explanation to help you understand. The digital readout is nice, but it's not a setting. It's there to tell you the current temperature. If you have a steady water supply, then the temperature will remain steady. This heater basically allows water to flow through a heat exchanger where the flame from the gas heats the water. If you turn up the water flow by using the knob on the right, it will cause the temperature to decrease. If you turn the heater temperature control knob on the left up, then the temperature will increase. The water temperature is dependent upon water flow rate and the gas/temperature control knob. It's extremely simple to understand, but you really need a steady water supply to keep the temperature from fluctuating...steady flow rate and a steady water temperature in as well, because if your water supply fluctuates temperatures is will greatly affect the heater's output. Suppose you're taking a shower using a supply that's 40 degrees and it's getting low and you husband refills the supply container with water from inside that's 70 degrees, then your shower is suddenly going to just to a scalding temp.
Installed this as part of permanent outdoor shower with an 18” rain shower head. The water is from a standard water hose that’s coupled in to the inlet. Pressure is perfectly acceptable with this application, I’m sure that gravity helps since it’s a rain shower and requires less force. Did have to work on sealing the water inlet and outlet appropriately with couplings to ensure non leak. I do however leave the water to the unit always on and the flow control is after the outlet, has held up nicely under constant water pressure.
Bought this for my little cabin. Very simple to install and so far after 1 month have no complaints. It's very easy to operate and control. Great product.
Definitely one of the better brands of these. Last one ran for years. The camplux costs a lil more but is definitely better quality than some cheaper units
I am absolutely in love with this unit as I'm RV living. I installed myself zero issues doing so. My only problem is customer service they gave a number that repeats itself then hangs up. Let's not get started on their emailing capabilities uh! I have a few questions I'd like to ask them.....Yes I would definitely purchase again and again!
Great product! A super simple solution for a smoking hot shower at my remote cabin in Alaska. No electric need! All you need is some water pressure, 2 D batteries and propane and BAM - a nice hot shower.
I use this to heat our above ground pool, a few hours a day when we're going to swim. It's been working for 3 straight summers, over 100 hours of use for sure. And, it's chlorinated water but I see no signs of rust or corrosion. Works great, highly recommend!
Easy to set up, good flow rate in the spray nozzle, good heating capability. It came with the wrong garden hose attachment so I emailed the service address in the manual, they responded quickly and shipped me the right fitting quickly. Very responsive and good customer service!
